DEBBY BROWN SCHOLARSHIP
The Debby Brown Scholarship Fund is named after a young alumna who tragically and suddenly passed away in the summer of 2005. She was known for her contagious enthusiasm, loyal friendship and adventuresome spirit. Debby was the quintessential optimist and known for her joyful approach to all tasks, including obstacles. Not only was she an accomplished equestrian, but also a licensed pilot and world traveler.
Debby’s parents, Davene and Jerry Brown of Hebron,NY, allotted a significant grant from their family foundation to make these scholarship funds available. They wished to show appreciation for “creating such a wonderful school that formed Debby into the wonderful person she became.”
The Debby Brown Scholarship Fund is made available to students from all towns, but students from Washington County, NY, and the Vermont towns of Pawlet, West Pawlet, and Rupert, are given priority.
The recipient of the scholarship exemplifies the exceptional qualities that Debby demonstrated; which include leadership, contagious enthusiasm, loyal friendship and selfless participation in the school and community.
