Team Sports
Long Trail School believes that team and individual athletic pursuits are positive, providing students with opportunities to strengthen the mind and body. Our inclusive athletic philosophy supports the mission of the school and aides in the development of the “whole child” by affording each student an opportunity for individual and team achievement at the appropriate competitive level.
Long Trail’s qualified coaching staff is comprised of very knowledgeable teachers, parents, and local community members certified in sports psychology, sports pedagogy, sports physiology, and sports management by the American Sports Education Program.
Long Trail fields sixteen middle school, junior varsity, and varsity teams in eight sports.
The Student Life and Athletic Office continues to search for additional athletic opportunities for students. Basketball is currently being considered for the middle and upper school for the winter season.
