EIGHTH GRADERS RECYCLE CHRISTMAS TREES

Looking for a better option for your Christmas tree once the holiday is over? On Saturday, January 8 (snow date Sunday, January 9) 8th grade students will come to your home to pick up and dispose of your undecorated tree in an environmentally friendly and useful way.

Homestead Landscaping has offered to mulch the collected trees. The mulch will then be delivered to and stored at Long Trail School campus until spring. Come springtime, the mulched trees will add new habitats and enrich animal life at Long Trail.

The suggested fee is $10 per tree and the 8th graders are using the proceeds from this event to help fund their spring trip to Washington DC. 

This service is available to homes in Manchester, Dorset, Pawlet, Rupert, Winhall, Stratton, Peru, Sunderland, and Arlington.
