JISP 2019

We are excited to inform you that JISP and Long Trail’s skiing and riding program will start on Friday, January 10, 2020. Please note the details about these two options:

JISP

Junior Instruction Ski Program (JISP) is a 10-week instructional skiing and riding program for middle school students. It runs on Friday afternoons from January 4 to March 13, with no program on February 14 and 21.  Students receive lessons from an instructor from 1-3 pm and then they are free to ski or ride until the mountain closes at 4 pm. JISP students also have seven Sundays to use their pass at Bromley and two Sundays at Stratton (starting at 11 am). NEW THIS YEAR: If school is canceled due to weather on their JISP day, students may still use their pass to ski or ride that day.

The cost of the program is $110 if registered and paid by November 1. There is an additional $50 late fee from November 2 to the end of the registration period on November 27. To register, please use this link .  Students must pick up their pass before December 1 or pay a $20 late fee. Seasonal equipment rentals are $100-200. Equipment fittings will be held November 25 through December 24.

Limited scholarships for JISP are available. Please see Scott Magrath for a scholarship application. Applications are due before November 1.

Long Trail Skiing and Riding

Students not in JISP need to have their own Bromley lift pass (day or season) and their own equipment. Students are free to ski and ride on their own from arrival to 4 pm. We recommend purchasing the discounted student season pass (full pass or afternoons only).  A purchase form is available at school. The deadline to get the largest discount is October 15.

Transportation

For both programs, Long Trail will provide transportation to Bromley but there is NO return transportation. Students MUST be picked up at Bromley by 4 pm.

Instructors, Drivers, and Volunteers Needed

Bromley is seeking drivers, lodge parents, and instructors for JISP. These volunteers  receive discounted or free lift passes. Please contact Scott Magrath if you are interested in filling one of these roles.
