Matt came to Long Trail because it has a great facility, a nurturing community, and a clear understanding of its values and identity. Before Long Trail, he worked as Associate Director of Philanthropy for the Adirondack Chapter of The Nature Conservancy. There he handled donor outreach, major gifts and planned giving. In the 17 years prior to that, he worked at several independent schools, including Northwood, Berkshire, and Saddle River Day School, where he served as an English teacher or administrator. He is settling in the Dorset area with his wife, Angela, and son, Finley.
