I have been working with youth for 20 years. I count myself as one of a few lucky people who get to make a living at something I am so passionate about. My role as Student Life Director at Long Trail gives me the opportunity to round out the many advantages a student has when being here at Long Trail. Since Long Trail values the growth of the academic brain as well as the social and emotional part, being the Student Life Director gives me such wonderful chances to impact students with new ways to communicate with one another and take risks. Creating a culture for the students of honesty, integrity and compassion, the office of student life strives to promote school spirit, maintain positive peer activities and open the doors for trying new opportunities.
My husband and I live in Manchester and have established a strong tie with the community for the past 25 years. I have worked in many different fields with adolescents, ranging from state wide church mission projects to therapeutic boarding schools. I have finally found a home right here at Long Trail and have the honor of sharing each day with the wonderful faculty and students that makes this school so special.
