It’s been my pleasure to teach at Long Trail School since 1997. In Support Services, I help students with unique learning needs achieve their full academic potential.
After 8 years of teaching in Pennsylvania and New Jersey, I applied for a job at Long Trail while on an extended vacation in Vermont running a friend’s bed and breakfast. Not only did I fall in love with the state I now call home, but also Long Trail School. I knew that I’d found a school where every student’s success truly matters and I’m proud to be part of that goal.
As the Director of the Support Services Program, I’m honored to work with a talented, insightful team of learning specialists. Nothing is more fulfilling for me than teaching and advocating for students who learn differently.
My husband Emmett and I live in Pawlet. My daughter Nora attended Long Trail for grades 6 through 12 and graduated in 2008. I’m an avid Francophile and have studied French in Paris and at Middlebury’s École Française. In my spare time, you’ll catch me reading and watching classic films. I also enjoy my daily afterschool walks through beautiful Dorset Hollow.
