At Long Trail School, we deeply believe in teaching our students to be compassionate members of society. Stewardship is a big part of this development, and a crucial part of the LTS education. We are always looking for new opportunities for our students to engage in caring for the school, the environment, and the community.
Each year our school community joins together to participate in a service learning project.
The goals of the Service Learning program at Long Trail are two-fold: firstly, to meaningfully contribute to local towns and organizations, and secondly, to give our students a deep understanding of the work that they are doing through discussion and reflection. By engaging our students in this way, we hope to develop a life-long dedication to service.
