Spring Play “RIVALRY WEEK”
May 18 @ 6:30 pm – 6:30 pm

RIVALRY WEEK, A COLLABORATIVE PLAY, TO BE PERFORMED AT LONG TRAIL SCHOOL ON MAY 18

Rivalry Week, an original play written by Long Trail English teacher Luke Krueger, will be presented at Long Trail School on Saturday, May 18 at 6:30 pm.

In creating Rivalry Week, Krueger engaged Theater Director Anna Bean’s seventh grade drama class in weekly discussions to help him to know more about the students’ personalities, their interests, fears and joys. Krueger crafted the characters in Rivalry Week to specific students based on the discussions, short autobiographies and monologues performed by each student. The end result is a one-act play with characters and a plot mutually devised by the cast, director and playwright.

Tickets will be available at the door for $3 for students/seniors and $5 for adults. Contact Chelley Tifft at ctifft@longtrailschool.org or (802) 867-5717 x190 with questions.

Spring Athletics Banquet
May 29 @ 5:30 pm – 5:30 pm

Spring athletes and their families are invited to join us for this celebration to honor the efforts of our middle school and upper school athletes and the coaches who have all given so much time and effort to represent Long Trail so well on the athletic scene of the Marble Valley League and Vermont as a whole. We will begin the evening with light appetizers provided by Long Trail School. No need to bring a dish. Coaches will deliver a few brief remarks regarding their respective team’s season and recognize the seniors on their team. When the coaches’ remarks are concluded, each team and parents will adjourn to separate classrooms, where coaches will then present individual awards and offer additional comments regarding the season and the wonderful players who make up their team.
