This survey course covers the basics of human anatomy and physiology including anatomical terminology, basic biochemistry, cells and tissues, and skeletal, muscular, nervous, endocrine, cardiovascular, immune, respiratory, excretory, and reproductive systems. Students are also introduced to human health concerns ranging from infectious disease and genetic disorders to cancer and cardiovascular disease, so that they can make informed decisions for their future. Innovations in diagnosis and treatment will also be investigated.
