Offered on a rotating basis

The purpose of this course is to foster an understanding of daily events and to show how these events affect us as individuals and as members of larger, global community. International, national, state, and local items will be examined and discussed with the intent of interpreting the significance of these events. The students will also place current events within a historical perspective and suggest future implications of these events. Resources used will include: newspapers, magazines, the internet, and national television media as major news source.
