Prerequisite: Core Connections Algebra 1
Offered on a rotating basis

In this course, students learn general, wide-ranging strategies for solving problems such as drawing a diagram, using systematic lists, eliminating possibilities, using matrix logic, looking for a pattern, guessing and checking, and solving subproblems. A variety of problems are presented – some that arise in real life, some that occur in other disciplines, and some that are simply fun. Students will work cooperatively to solve these problems and are encouraged to discuss and present their ideas to the class.
