LTS TO PRESENT AN EVENING OF ONE-ACT PLAYS ON MARCH 29 & 30

On Friday, March 29 and Saturday, March 30, Long Trail School will present an evening of one-act plays. Showtime both evenings is 6:30.  In addition to a one-act full production version of William Shakespeare’s Twelfth Night, three new works will be showcased through a reader’s theatre. Director Anna Bean leads a 20 person cast and crew in the Shakespearean comedy. This version, adapted by London’s Globe Theatre, tells the tale of twins separated in a shipwreck and the complications of love and identity which ensue. The two student works to be presented are Here We Go Again by Kassidy Brooks ‘22 and Laugh It Off by Isa Blankenbaker ’21. In addition to the Shakespeare and student works, a unique collaboration between writer and actors results in the performance of an excerpt of Rivalry Week by Luke Krueger. Krueger, a playwright who teaches English at Long Trail, created his contribution from discussions with Bean’s Middle School Drama students, who will be performing the play.

With only two showtimes, the Long Trail Theater is sure to fill for these exciting performances! Tickets are $10 for adults and $7 for students and seniors, and are available at the door. For more information, contact Anna Bean at 802-867-5717 x170.
