DANVILLE — The No. 11 seed Long Trail girls soccer team moved on to the Division IV state quarterfinals with a 2-1 against No. 6 Danville Tuesday afternoon.

LTS got on the board first on a Molly Sanderson tally with 15:46 left in the first half.

The Indians knotted the score with five minutes left in the first half on a goal by Lilah Hall.

The Mountain Lions scored the game-winner in the second half when Kathryn Dugan got a pass from Adrianna Grabach, took one dribble and sent a shot top shelf into the net.

This was the fifth straight year that Long Trail eliminated Danville from the D-IV playoffs.

LTS moves to 6-9 on the year and plays the winner of the playdown between No. 3 Rivendell and No. 14 Craftsbury in a quarterfinal game on Friday.
