Annual Fund

Our Annual Fund is critical to Long Trail’s operation. Without the support of over 300 donors each year, the school would not be able to serve area students with its array of programs and its talented faculty and staff. Your Annual Fund gift helps us to fill the annual gap between tuition received and the actual cost of educating students. This gap is around $6,000 per student. Thank you for joining us in our effort this year to help our students discover their intellectual and creative passions.

Our Endowment is a dedicated pool of funds which are left intact for strategic investment that generates income for the school each year. Long Trail is dedicated to the prudent growth of its endowment, which ensures the sustainability of this institution. An endowment gift, for instance, can help to ensure long-term funding of scholarships, recruitment and training of exceptional faculty, and development of the finest academic programming we can offer.

Planned Giving

Your Planned Giving helps our school to provide a Long Trail education for the next generations of Southwestern Vermont region students. A planned gift for Long Trail can be derived from a bequest you make when you plan your will or trust. You can also set up a planned gift that provides an income for yourself or others in your lifetime.

Some planned giving options include:

  • A bequest in your will
  • A charitable remainder trust
  • A charitable gift annuity
  • Designating Long Trail as a beneficiary of an IRA
  • Naming Long Trail as beneficiary of a life insurance policy

Please contact Courtney Callo, Director of Development, at 802-867-5717, ext 161 or at ccallo@longtrailschool.org if you have questions or would like discuss these or other options.
