Katie was raised in Milton, MA, and attended Williams College, where she graduated with a bachelor’s degree in art history. She initially settled at Stratton Mountain Resort, where she worked in management and spent plenty of time on the slopes. Katie then took the opportunity to join a start-up broker/dealer in Manchester, VT, and after several years on the trade desk, she made her lifelong dream of becoming a teacher a reality through the Vermont Teacher Apprenticeship Program (TAP) here at Long Trail School. After a couple of years of teaching full-time, Katie accepted the Director of Admissions position at LTS in 2013. She earned her master’s degree in educational leadership and policy studies from the University of Vermont in 2024 and currently serves as the Director of Advancement and Admissions. Katie lives in Dorset, is married with two teenaged children, and loves to walk, practice yoga, and play in the garden.
