Renee has been teaching sixth and seventh grade ELA at LTS since 2020. Prior to joining the Long Trail faculty, Renee taught for two years at an independent school in Vermont and for twenty years in public school in Massachusetts. In 1998 she graduated from Stonehill College with a degree in English and a minor in secondary education. She fell in love with Vermont when she attended Middlebury College’s masters program, The Breadloaf School of English, which she completed in 2007. Renee loves reading, watercoloring, upcycling books for art, cats, and taming the local wildlife. Renee believes in kindness, curiosity, and the magic of books.
