Katie Redding was raised in Milton, Massachusetts, and attended Williams College, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in Art History.

After beginning her career in finance, Katie pursued her lifelong dream of becoming a teacher through the Vermont Teacher Apprenticeship Program at Long Trail School.  After several years of teaching, Katie transitioned to the role of Director of Admissions at LTS in 2013. She earned her master’s degree in Educational Leadership and Policy Studies from the University of Vermont in 2024 and now serves as Long Trail’s Director of Advancement and Admissions.  

Katie also serves on the Board of Trustees of Northshire Day School. She is married and has two children, both LTS alumni/current students (Classes of 2024 and 2027). Outside of school, Katie enjoys walking, practicing yoga, and spending time in the garden.
